The course of study
Here you can combine theory and practice from the beginning. You are studying the bachelor's program in civil engineering and receive scientific knowledge in this field. At the same time, you put what you have learned in the company into practice and earn the first salary. By working in practice, you will understand the course content much easier. This combination offers you excellent career prospects afterwards. The dual study program is structured like the conventional bachelor's program. However, the first two semesters are “stretched” to four semesters.
After completion of the study section II and with entry into the advanced studies (study section III), the vocational training is also completely completed. An examination is taken before the HWK / IHK.

Career prospects
Based on the 17 global sustainability goals of the UN, the "German Sustainability Strategy" sets goals to protect people, the climate and nature in a sustainable manner. However, achieving these goals requires the work of innovative engineers. For example, civil engineers deal with the construction and use of energy-efficient buildings and infrastructure as well as the development of sustainable transport concepts including environmentally friendly building materials, the effects of climate change and forecasts for its development, the flood problem, the avoidance of environmental emissions and waste disposal, and thus create the tools without which sustainable development is unthinkable.
