Open University / Ready to Study 2025

The date for the next Open University / Ready to Study is May 24, 2025.

On Saturday, the 24 May 2025 the Open University will take place again from 10:00 to 16:00 on the Schlossplatz of the Lower Castle in Siegen. Citizens, students and prospective students, alumni and all members of the university are cordially invited – students, researchers and employees give an insight into their work.

At more than 50 stands and hands-on stations, visitors can learn everything that is part of university life and become active themselves. The day will be accompanied by a lot of music – from the Uni Big Band to pop and rock bands.

A highlight will be the lecture by Mirko Drotschmann (also known as MrWissen2Go) dealing with the subject FAKE NEWS: A threat to democracy? argues.

In the cafe-noise-scene we start to read together in peace and exchange each other after two readers about our books.
