The Master's program in Accounting, Auditing & Taxation offers a unique learning environment through small learning groups. The lecturers bring extensive practical experience, whereby the contents are conveyed vividly and practically. In addition to the professional exchange, you have the opportunity to build up a valuable network in practice. This not only enables excellent theoretical and scientific training, but also opens up a wide range of opportunities for internships, working student activities or career entry.
In terms of content, I was impressed by the wide choice and flexibility in the compulsory elective area. Due to the large selection of thematically different elective modules, I was able to design my studies individually and deepen my interests. This gives you the opportunity to further your education in a targeted manner and is optimally prepared for a future career in auditing, tax consulting, industry or academia.
At the University of Siegen, the Campus Unteres Schloss in particular appealed to me with a unique atmosphere in the middle of the city. Here you have everything in one place: Lecture halls, library and cafeteria. Numerous cafés and shops are also within walking distance. Especially my everyday study life was characterized by the short distances. So many spontaneous contacts and meetings with fellow students for a coffee in the campus cafeteria or a wine in the upper city emerged.

Study organisation

Examination regulations/course plans/module manuals/internship regulations

Examination regulations (POs) define the basic structures of a course of study (e.g. entry requirements and content to be studied). For students, the current version of a PO automatically applies when enrolling in the first semester. This means that even in the event of changes to the PO during the course of your studies, the original version according to which you have registered is valid (provided that this PO does not expire).
The respective course plan represents the recommended exemplary course of study in the individual subjects and is part of a PO.
Additional regulations and details for each module to be studied can be found in the module manuals (e.g. prerequisites for taking a written examination or information on the content of the modules/events, ...).
The traineeship regulations define the conditions under which the mandatory or optional traineeships must be completed.
Before the start of the lecture period, we recommend that you at least look at the course schedule of your course of study so that you know which modules are planned for the start of your studies.
